Mother Nature
(photo credit: Brides)Eco-Friendly is the buzz word this season. These reclaimed bark centerpieces accented with organic orchids are a great way to show your love of all things natural. This design could be combined with local flowers for an even more Eco-Friendly concept.

This is just a glimpse into what we did yesterday at the Annapolis Marriott. To start I want to thank Nancy of Chesapeake Floral Arts for creating these stunning flowers. We joined forces with this fabulous florist and brought in custom fabric, lighting and decor to give Jennifer and Jake the wedding of their dreams. More images to follow....Monday, August 24, 2009
A Flower Story
As promised... Here is the story.
In late July I received a call from one of my favorite people on the face of the earth. She had decided to relocate to the east Coast and wanted to get into the wedding industry. Of course I was more than eager to help her succeed. So, we made a plan for her, her momma and little sister to take a trip to Maryland for some hands on training. With permission from our bride and groom (Lyndsey & CJ) I put them to work on what started out as a basic wedding and turned out to be one of the coolest weddings of the season.
Yay! Boutonnieres and corsages are complete.
Rebbecca was a natural designer and created some of our best centerpieces.
Marissa Poses with samples of the Golda Roses used in the centerpieces. These are by far the coolest roses I have ever seen.
The truck is loaded and ready to head to Billingsley Manor in Upper Marlboro, MD.

The ladies "Team Alban" worked together flawlessly assuring that each detail was nothing short of perfect. Great team work girls!

Now it is time to take a look at what these ladies created. The quality of their work and their passion for perfection is inspiring!

How Much Does It Cost
On our last posting SPROUT commented on the price listing we gave for the Manzanita display and asked that we do this going forward. I think this is a great idea and have decided to add this to our posts.Sunday, August 9, 2009
Manzanita at it's best

This is not a cheap piece by any means. You should expect to pay anywhere from $350 to $600 for a piece of this caliber depending on your designer. Although this is a pricey decor element it may just add that exciting pop you are looking for at your winter wedding.

Simply Light on the Wallet

This is by far the least expensive centerpiece idea I have stumbled onto. For the bride that is looking for more than budget savvy I thought this was a great concept. The recycled cans are tied with a grass accent and filled with Mini Daisies. This is a great look for a backyard wedding or even a bride looking for a casual atmosphere.
