Spring on a Snowy Day

Rose Petal Art on the Aisle

At INTRIGUE we love whimsical design concepts. This season we have been talking a lot about these fun aisle treatments. This treatments takes a good deal of time along with the use of over 300 roses. This is a great look for spring and summer weddings. The cost for this treatment can run anywhere from $500 to $1200 depending on the complexity of the design and the types of roses used in the design.

Moss Tablescape

Last week we dressed a springy table for the What's Up Bridal Showcase. Our table incorporated natural moss, tulips, fiddle head ferns and natural river rocks.

Alexander of Photography by Alexander stopped by to snap these photos of our table. I am really impressed at the quality of the images considering the amount of time he spent shooting the table. The ladies with Paper In The Park were cool enough to provide the custom menu cards and escort cards that accented the table perfectly. Visit them in Severna Park or shop on-line at www.mypaperinthepark.com

Melissa created this unique menu card holder out of moss and fiddle head ferns. Creating a custom stand is a nice way to add interest to the table.

Branch Chuppah

The Chuppah is one of my favorite treatments for a wedding ceremony. I really love this natural branch Chuppah accented with subtle natural flowers.

Beach Inspirations

Today, I was inspired by this design board. This is a perfect example of a classy affair with a "beachy" feel.

Coming up with a design board of your own is a great way for your wedding designer or florist to see your vision. As an event designer I find it very helpful to see lots of images from weddings that inspire my clients.

Chesapeake Bay Beach Club Bridal Show

We designed a stunning room today for the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club Bridal Show. By pulling in some high end fabrics, accent lighting and a custom covered lounge space we gave an already stunning space a touch of spring/summer.

On Sunday Janaury 3rd join us at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club's 9th Annual Bridal Show. INTRIGUE will be designing the Beach House Ballroom.

Each bride stopping by our booth will receive a special gift.

Simple Yet Elegant Affairs

Today we created pink flowers with a touch of green for Simple Yet Elegant Affairs, LLC to feature at a local business showcase. Ivori (Founder & CEO of SYE) brought to life a charming display with her creativity, Select Event Rentals and of course the fabulous flowers of INTRIGUE.

LOVE this rose treatment on the napkin. Can you believe this is a real rose.

Blooming Branch Ceremony

Words can not do justice to this stunning ceremony design. The blooming branches add volume and interest to the alter and the lighting treatment plays perfectly off the candlescape.

Lift The Eye

Is the carpet or flooring treatment at your venue less than desirable? The easiest and most cost affective way to deal with this detail is to lift the eye. Filling the room with high centerpieces brings the eye up and away from the floor and onto your decor.

Pink Orange and Green Galore

Pink, Orange and Green turned out to be the hot color pallet of 2009 and I see this trend to continue into 2010! This is a great look for a summer event or even a spring garden wedding. Check out the custom paper wrap on these vases. this inexpensive accent ads high end style.

Fall at it's best

On this cool Autumn day I am drawn to warm place settings accented with a nice glass of wine. This place setting shows attention to each detail. It almost makes me want to host an autumn inspired dinner party just to dress my table.

Morning Coffee

Yesterday the conversation around the design table turned to Coffee. In honor of our little design chat I have posted this fun image of coffee bean filled centerpieces. I do not have an accurate price estimate for this piece, but, I would anticipate it being hefty on the wallet when the cost of the coffee beans is factored in. If any of our blog readers have more information about coffee filled centerpieces I would love to hear your feedback.

Mother Nature

Eco-Friendly is the buzz word this season. These reclaimed bark centerpieces accented with organic orchids are a great way to show your love of all things natural. This design could be combined with local flowers for an even more Eco-Friendly concept.

Melody in Mexico

This month Melody Browning of Historic Events hired Wendy Hickok to fly to Mexico for a "Glam the Dress" session. Although these images do not have flowers in them I just had to share. Wendy is a great wedding photographer with a wonderful eye.
