Philadelphia Flower Show

Intrigue was honored to be the only designer from the state of Maryland selected to design a space in the Floral Showcase.  The creativity and flair that our lead designer brings to the table is impeccable.

Enjoy these images courtesy of Bill Kraft Photography.

Melissa Huston (our lead designer) is an award winning floral designer and we are proud to have her talent onboard to help our brides create breathtaking weddings.  She is clearly Annapolis ' best floral designer / florist.

Allison and David at CBF

Evan Bishop captured these vibrant colors with style.  This was a fun wedding with a definate party feel. CBF is the only venue I know of in Annapolis that you can enjoy the beach like this couple did. This is the ideal beach wedding destination for the Annapolis area.    Check out more of Evan's work at http://www.evanbishopphotopgraphy.com/

Winter Wedding Dream

Last month an awesome couple came to meet with me to discuss their wedding decor. The design they had in mind was a winter wedding dream for me. Although the bride had been planning a fall affair I was longing to create a similar design for a winter bride.

I located this image on Grace Ormond and I am now looking for my winter bride to bring these amazing pieces to life.
(est cost: $450 - $750)

Mother Nature

Eco-Friendly is the buzz word this season. These reclaimed bark centerpieces accented with organic orchids are a great way to show your love of all things natural. This design could be combined with local flowers for an even more Eco-Friendly concept.

(est cost per piece: $85 - $155)

This is just a glimpse into what we did yesterday at the Annapolis Marriott. To start I want to thank Nancy of Chesapeake Floral Arts for creating these stunning flowers. We joined forces with this fabulous florist and brought in custom fabric, lighting and decor to give Jennifer and Jake the wedding of their dreams. More images to follow....

Manzanita at it's best

With the winter wedding season just around the corner I have been seeing lots of request for branches. In particular brides have shown an interest in Manzantia Branches. The image above was sent to me by Laura as inspiration for her January reception. The natural lines of the branches are a great compliment for the soft wintry feel of the Phaleanopsis Orchids adding a subtle hint of life to the wintry piece. The natural bed of washed river rocks add the finishing touch to this escort table (seating card table)

This is not a cheap piece by any means. You should expect to pay anywhere from $350 to $600 for a piece of this caliber depending on your designer. Although this is a pricey decor element it may just add that exciting pop you are looking for at your winter wedding.

Branches and Moss at London Town

Last weekend we created a stylish wedding with natural charm at the Historic London Town and Gardens in Edgewater, Maryland. The wedding of Mari and Josh called upon the natural beauty of this historic site when designing their decor. Enjoy this images from my "handy cam". I hope to have professional images to share in the coming weeks.

Chuppa style alter of Branches, orchids and moss set against the water backdrop

The aisle was lined with towering willow branches also accented with Orchids creating a magnificent path leading the bride to her groom.

Fun kissing ball of natural moss and plum ribbon designed for the flower girl to carry down the aisle
Lush Floating Peonies and candles presented in wooden bowls set atop a bed of moss and polished river rocks.

Molly of INTRIGUE and Anne of Historic Events work together to create a sophisticated chair treatment using an enormous Peony accented with plum ribbon.
"Thank you to Mari & Josh for allowing me to be part of this classy event."
Thank you to all of the vendors who helped make this day come to life.
(Hopefully Aaron will send us pro pics to add to the blog!)
