Hartcorn Photography Plunge

While browsing fan photos I found this amazing photo of David Hartcorn of Hartcorn Photography emerging from the icy waters on Sunday's Polar Bear Plunge at Sandy Point State Park. With temperatures in the teens and snow falling, taking the plunge took true commitment. Intrigue is proud of David Hartcorn for supporting this great cause.

Hmmm... I wonder if David's fuzzy hat with the ear flaps kept him warm while standing in the frigid bay waters.

Rose Petal Art on the Aisle

At INTRIGUE we love whimsical design concepts. This season we have been talking a lot about these fun aisle treatments. This treatments takes a good deal of time along with the use of over 300 roses. This is a great look for spring and summer weddings. The cost for this treatment can run anywhere from $500 to $1200 depending on the complexity of the design and the types of roses used in the design.

(Aprox Cost of above aisle design: $675)

This week I met with a great couple planning a winter wedding at Celebrations at the Bay in Pasadena. This couple chose to embrace the winter season and allowed me to design a stunning decor presentation. As always I found a photo to inspire me. This wedding is not until January 2011, however, I am sharing the inspiration photo with you today. Check back in January for images of what we created out of this inspiration.

Moss Tablescape

Last week we dressed a springy table for the What's Up Bridal Showcase. Our table incorporated natural moss, tulips, fiddle head ferns and natural river rocks.

Alexander of Photography by Alexander stopped by to snap these photos of our table. I am really impressed at the quality of the images considering the amount of time he spent shooting the table. This guy works quickly and effectively. That is what makes him an ideal Event Photographer. Check out more of Alexander's work at www.howmanykisses.com

The ladies with Paper In The Park were cool enough to provide the custom menu cards and escort cards that accented the table perfectly. Visit them in Severna Park or shop on-line at www.mypaperinthepark.com

Melissa created this unique menu card holder out of moss and fiddle head ferns. Creating a custom stand is a nice way to add interest to the table.

Paper In The Park

One of our favorite paper designers and our personal graphic designer has featured us on her website. Check out the link!

These ladies have a great store in Severna Park. Stop by to check out their extensive paper and gift selection. They even carry ultra cool wrapping paper by the sheet that is perfect for giving your bridesmaid gifts a special touch.

Branch Chuppah

The Chuppah is one of my favorite treatments for a wedding ceremony. I really love this natural branch Chuppah accented with subtle natural flowers.

Chair Treatments

Floral accents on your chair adds a bit of fun and elegance to your event. Designs such as the ones in the photos above (courtesy of the World Wide Web) can be very pricey. However, we offer subtle treatments that can be a lot more budget friendly.

LOVES chatty brides

I LOVE when our brides like us so much they get chatty and start spreading the word. The greatest compliment you can give us is telling other brides and event professionals.

Thank you to Raquel for raving about us! Your wedding is going to be a blast! (Okay, "blast" may be a dated word, but, it seemed appropriate)

Beach Inspirations

Today, I was inspired by this design board. This is a perfect example of a classy affair with a "beachy" feel.
Coming up with a design board of your own is a great way for your wedding designer or florist to see your vision. As an event designer I find it very helpful to see lots of images from weddings that inspire my clients.

Chesapeake Bay Beach Club Bridal Show

We designed a stunning room today for the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club Bridal Show. By pulling in some high end fabrics, accent lighting and a custom covered lounge space we gave an already stunning space a touch of spring/summer.
Enjoy my "handy cam" pic. Check back this week to see pro pics.
